FORT MYERS — Seagate Development Group is readying to break ground on a 35,000-square-foot facility for Rice Insulation & Glass.

The Lee-County-based materials supplier will be Seagate’s first tenant in its new business park at Alico Road and Interstate 75, a 40-acre complex, according to a statement.

The free-standing building will include 3,000 square feet of office space for sales and management teams; a reception area with workstation; conference room; four oversized offices with 10 workstations; three standard offices; training and break rooms; and closets and restrooms. Additional space is reserved for a warehouse of insulation, glass, shower door and shelving materials.

Seagate also plans to build four high-dock doors and four grade-level doors as well as parking for up to 100 vehicles, the release states.

The Rice Insulation facility, part of a larger business park that will include other single-tenant office, flex and industrial buildings, is set to commence in April and be complete by October.

“Our design-build division looks forward to providing the highest standards of craftsmanship and second-to-none customer service to Rice Insulation and many others, just as it has with NeoGenomics, Scotlynn and Conditioned Air,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group President and CEO Matt Price says in the release. “This ideal location and multipurpose, expansive property are fit for any company that desires to launch, grow and thrive. As always, we can’t wait to get started.”

Seagate is a full-service commercial development company specializing in a design-build process via new construction, custom renovations, interior design, and management and leasing services. It had $65.5 million in revenue in 2019.
