SARASOTA — A new four-story mid-rise condominium project is going up in the Whitaker Bayou neighborhood in Sarasota.
Gates Construction is building the complex, called The Strand. It will include 152 units in three buildings in the area north of downtown Sarasota, according to a news release. The community will include gated access, private club room, fitness center, a waterfront boardwalk, kayak launch, guest boat docks, 47 private boat slips and a dog park, the release adds.
The project is slated for completion in summer 2021. Design services are being provided by Hoyt Architects.
One of the largest builders n the region, Gates handles commercial, multifamily, industrial, health care, club and hospitality projects, among others. It serves clients from offices in Bonita Springs, Sarasota and Palm Beach Gardens.
