PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Deep Creek Community Church purchased the 18,188-square-foot former Abundant Life Assembly of God church building for $1.53 million. The price equated to $84 per square foot.

Occupying a 9.77-acre parcel, the vacant building was renovated in 2005 after Hurricane Charley. The church has been portable since its founding nearly 10 years ago, and most recently held its services from a space in Charlotte High School. According to pastor Steve Glover, the church plans to relocate and start operating from the new location in early March.

“We have a lot of dreams in mind to build upon what we are already doing as an outreach-minded church community,” Glover says.

Deep Creek Community Church mortgaged the property to Foundation Capital Resources Inc. for $1.46 million.
