NAPLES — DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group LLC (DDHG), a division of DeAngelis Diamond Construction Inc., opened a new office in Birmingham, Ala., this week, and hired away a lead executive from a nearby competitor to head its new operation.
Robert Young, DDHG's new president, comes to the firm from M.J. Harris Inc., a Birmingham-based builder focused on healthcare construction. Young was M.J. Hariss' chief operation officer prior to joining DDHG.
In a related move, former DDHG president Reggie Morgan has been promoted to the role of chief executive officer for the division. Morgan will remain in Naples, while Young will work from the new Birmingham office.
In a release, the parent company says the expansion to Birmingham represented “the first part of a multi-phase plan to expand nationally.”
DeAngelis Diamond Construction Inc. generated $60 million in 2010 revenues, and was the subject of a recent Business Review feature story (see “The right moves,” March 11).
