Former Google exec becomes CEO of area tech company

Dax Brady-Sheehan leaves New York to join Tampa-based Spectrio.

TAMPA — Dax Brady-Sheehan is the new CEO of Spectrio, a Tampa company that specializes in location-based marketing solutions and boasts more than 67,000 clients nationwide.

Before joining Spectrio, Brady-Sheehan was the site leader for Google’s New York City marketing services team. He succeeds Aaron Kleinhandler, who will remain with the company as COO, focusing on acquisitions.

According to a press release, Brady-Sheehan’s 11-year career also includes stints with media giants Hearst and Gannett, as well as TEGNA Inc. He has worked in a wide range of areas, ranging from technology and finance to customer management.

“Dax brings a wealth of knowledge in the small to midsize business marketing services industry,” states Jared Ruger of Bertram Capital, a private equity firm that has invested in Spectrio, in the release. “We are extremely excited to have Dax at the helm of Spectrio as we continue to expand and evolve our services offering and drive stronger ROI for our customers.”

At Google, Brady-Sheehan led a team that specialized in advertising operations, product activation and utilization for hundreds of thousands of marketing campaigns across the tech giant’s partner network. According to the release, he was also a key executive advisor to Google’s CEO, CMO and CFO on strategic and operational initiatives with partners nationwide.
