NAPLES — After more than a decade working in lending for banks, area loan officer Marcus Moody has moved to a credit union, being named vice president of commercial lending for the Naples market for Lake Michigan Credit Union.

Marcus, who specializes in loan portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions and cash flow analysis, according to a statement, previously worked for ServisFirst Bank and Synovus Bank in the Southwest Florida market. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based credit union entered the area market in 2017, when it acquired Encore Bank of Naples.

“This presents a great opportunity to grow and establish LMCU as a premier agency in the greater Naples area,” Marcus says in the statement. “LMCU is a strong strategic financial partner, I’ll be able to leverage resources to offer competitive rates and flexible loan terms that fit each client’s business and financial goals.”

Lake Michigan Credit Union is the largest credit union in Michigan, with assets over $6.9 billion and some 460,000 members. It has 11 branches in Southwest Florida.
