SARASOTA — Shinn & Co., a prominent accounting firm in Bradenton, opened a new office in downtown Sarasota.
“Shinn & Co. has experienced steady growth for the past several years, so the issue for us was not when to expand, but where,” managing partner Byron Shinn says in a release. “With an increasing number of our clients and employees based in Sarasota, we realize the significant potential for growth the Sarasota market holds.”
Shinn founded the firm in 1993. In 2009, he led a shift to add more business consulting services to traditional tax preparation. Clients over the years have included farms and agricultural operations, small retail stores, medical offices, manufacturing companies, nonprofit groups and county and city government entities.
