SARASOTA — Sarasota County Administrator Randall Reid, hired earlier this year, has created a new team of employees dedicated to business and economic development.

Jeff Maultsby, the county's manager of business and economic development, will lead the group. Lisa Damschroder and Teresa Mast, two other county employees, were also named to the team, according to a statement from Sarasota County Commission Chairwoman Christine Robinson. Maultsby will report to Reid.

The statement from Robinson said the team's vision is partially to “enhance and maintain relationships and opportunities” in the county.

In a separate announcement, the county also said it created a new email address to help local businesses. The address, [email protected], is a clearinghouse for questions, comments or concerns about anything from ordinances to county contracts.
