FORT MYERS — Former Manhattan Kraft Construction Co. President Bob Koenig has joined Chris-Tel Construction as vice president of construction.

As the president of Manhattan's Florida commercial construction subsidiary, Koenig oversaw some of the region's largest construction projects. For example, Koenig led the team that built JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, the $78 million spring training stadium for the Boston Red Sox baseball team that opened two years ago. Earlier this year, Chris-Tel, Manhattan and Casey Construction won the $42.5 million bid to renovate the Minnesota Twins spring training baseball stadium in Fort Myers.

Koenig brings 36 years of construction experience and has provided executive leadership in more than $1 billion worth of new construction. He currently serves as chairman of the Fort Myers Regional Partnership, a Lee County economic development organization.

Chris-Tel Construction is based in Fort Myers. You can read a profile of the company here.
