FORT MYERS — Builders in Lee County pulled more residential and commercial permits in November compared with the same month last year, evidence that the construction industry is starting to recover.
In November, builders pulled 44 permits to build single-family homes, a 29% increase over the same month in 2011, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development. Also in November, builders pulled 20 permits to build multifamily homes, a 67% jump from November 2011.
