FORT MYERS — Lee County agreed to give $30,000 to Gainesville-based Entertainment Metals to relocate its corporate headquarters to Fort Myers.

Entertainment Metals recently moved its 12-person operation to a new 14,000-square-foot facility Fort Myers. The company makes sheet-metal products for a wide range of businesses and had its origins in large-scale concert sound systems.

Entertainment Metals executives say the company sales have doubled every year since 2009. “Lee County is a research and development and custom manufacturing friendly market, well positioned for growth for emerging companies such as Entertainment Metals,” says Entertainment Metals CEO Kevin Kirchner, in a statement.

The company's relocation will result in the creation of 10 or more new jobs with an average salary of $46,695, representing 132 percent of the Lee County average wage, according to the Fort Myers Regional Partnership, Lee County's economic development organization.
