LAKEWOOD RANCH — Community Bank & Co. hired Michael Mangione to be its new chief credit officer late last week.
Mangione comes to Community from Regions Bank, where he served as the Birmingham-based bank's most senior credit officer for the West Florida market. He has been working in the credit market since 1978, spending time at Citibank, Iberiabank, and Chase Bank over the course of his career.
In his new role, Mangione will oversee all credit-related activity, including approvals, portfolio management and special asset resolution, according to a statement.
Earlier this month, Lakewood Ranch-based Community Bank & Co. received federal approval for a pending merger with Pinellas Park-based First Community Bank of America.
