CLEARWATER -- Colliers International Tampa Bay hired Mia Jarrell as managing director of office services this week to help lead the company's office space brokerage efforts. She brings seven years of commercial real estate experience to Colliers Tampa Bay; since 2004, she had been working with Grubb & Ellis as managing director for the company's commercial operations in Florida.

Jarrell joins Claire Calzon, a 28-year veteran of the commercial real estate marketplace, in an effort to grow Colliers Tampa Bay's commercial efforts. Jarrell's work will focus on tenants, while Calzon will work more closely with landlords.

In August, Calzon characterized the Gulf Coast office space market as “very bizarre” for a feature story in the Business Review (see “Rocky Bottom,” Aug. 25).
