Commercial real estate and financial services veteran Paul Fischetti has joined brokerage Colliers International in Tampa as a managing director of retail services, where he will handle leasing and sales along with tenant and landlord representation.

Fischetti joins Colliers after three years at Newmark Knight Frank, where he also specialized in retail deals involving Hooters International, Rodizio Grill, Sea Dog Brewing Co. and Buffalo Wings and Rings, to name a few.

Most recently, Fischetti managed the leasing of vacant retail space in the 35-story Element apartment tower in downtown Tampa, to a handful of restaurants including Earl of Sandwich, Burgerim and Hungry Greek.

“At Colliers, I’m joining an established team of retail experts,” Fischetti says. “Vendors and retailers trust their decisions when they suggest a location, so my mission is to embed myself into that successful operation.”

Colliers becomes the latest Tampa-area brokerage firm to beef up its retail operation with talent this year, following JLL’s hiring of Paul Rutledge from CBRE.

Fischetti becomes the seventh managing director in Colliers’ Tampa Bay office.

“He has both deep market knowledge and an excellent track record for exceeding clients’ expectations,” says Danny Rice, Colliers’ marked leader for Tampa Bay. “It’s a powerful combination.”

Prior to Newmark, Fischetti spent several years at commercial brokerage Savills Studley and financial services firm Morgan Stanley, UBS and AXA.
