LAKEWOOD RANCH — State College of Florida named Daisy Vulovich dean of its SCF Lakewood Ranch campus.

Vulovich has been with the school since 2001, beginning her tenure there as executive director. During her time as executive director, Vulovich oversaw gains in enrollment, to over 13,000; a Professional Development Center was conceived and developed in Bradenton; the school's Traffic Safety Institute expanded in downtown Sarasota; and a Center for Innovation and Technology opened in 2003 in Lakewood Ranch, according to a statement.

After Vulovich was promoted to associate vice president of corporate and community development, she began working closely with the Sarasota-Manatee region's economic development groups to help companies expand.

As dean, Vulovich will “continue to promote lifelong learning and workforce development," the school says, and partnerships in the community.
