Just as robotics have changed other industries, they are now revolutionizing the business of health care.

Recently a patient at Tampa's Moffitt Cancer Center underwent robotic lung surgery, a process where a doctor operates a robot device that makes small incisions in the patient instead of directly using his gloved hands.

The result of this da Vinci robotic technology is fewer traumas to the patient, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery. Two weeks after surgery, the patient had half of a lung removed and is taking long walks three times a day and is looking forward to golfing again soon.

Moffitt is already using the same robotic technology for prostate, kidney, bladder, testicular and uterine cancers.
