TAMPA — Chromalloy broke ground on a $5 million ceramic core production facility in Tampa this week. The 40,000-square-foot facility is adjacent to the company's existing $30 million foundry, which was unveiled in December.
Chromalloy is a subsidiary of Sequa Corp., which is based in Tampa. Sequa's various manufacturing operations involve aerospace technology, metal coatings, and automotive parts.
“We are pleased to be a vital member of the community with a new world-class foundry — and now a new companion core production facility that will help us better serve our customers worldwide,” said Chromalloy President Armand Lauzon.
Chromalloy has locations in 17 countries. Lauzon also leads parent company Sequa as CEO.
