SARASOTA — Akron, Ohio-based speciality chemicals company Gabriel Performance Products announced it will acquire Sarasota-based Royce International.

Royce is a provider of specialty epoxy resins, diluents, curing agents and additives sold under the RoyOxy trademark.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Royce CEO Harry Anand says in a press release, “Combined, the two companies will have a broader line of specialty products, technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities.”

The release says Gabriel intends to retain all product lines and their brand names.

“The acquisition of Royce further expands Gabriel’s offerings of solutions for the coatings, adhesives, and composites markets,” says Gabriel CEO Seth Tomasch in a statement. “Royce’s diversified product portfolio, technical support and formulation expertise will allow us to provide a broader array of products and services to our customers.”

Royce Associates, a sister company of Royce International, is not part of the transaction.
