MARCO ISLAND — Raven Air Island Hoppers plans to operate regularly scheduled flights from Marco Island to Key West starting next month.

The charter air company will operate a 10-passenger Cessna 402 to Key West starting Feb. 15. The flights will operate from the Marco Island Executive Airport on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.

Fares start at $89 each way and flights will leave Marco at 9 a.m. and arrive in Key West at 9:45 a.m. Return flights will leave Key West at 4:30 p.m. and arrive in Marco at 5:15 p.m.

Raven Air Island Hoppers has operated at Marco Island Executive Airport since 2008 offering air charters, aerial tours, aircraft maintenance and aerial photography. It is the second company offering regular service to Key West from a Collier County airport. Last year, Salt Island Seaplanes began flights from Naples Municipal Airport to Key West with a Cessna 206 amphibious seaplane.

“With the addition of this new scheduled air service from the Marco Island Executive Airport, residents and visitors alike will now have affordable and convenient access to the Keys without the hassle of long road trips or costly air charters,” says Collier County Airport Authority Manager Justin Lobb, in a statement.
