BONITA SPRINGS — Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tiffany Esposito has been awarded one of 35 national fellowships to study education and workforce development.

The fellowship program is managed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The program received 140 applications from across the country, according to a statement.

“Workforce retention is critical to the success of our business community,” says Chamber Chairman Scott Hennells in the statement. “We’re excited that Tiffany will come back from this program with fresh, innovative ideas to help address our community’s unique challenges.”

Over the course of the next year, Esposito will participate in interactive workshops following the talent pipeline from early education to education for adults in the workforce. Workshops will be taught by industry experts and chamber professionals who have brought new policies and changes to their communities, the statement adds.

“The timing of this annual fellowship is perfect, because talent recruitment and retention will continue to be priorities of the chamber in the coming year,” says Kim Hastings, incoming chairwoman of the chamber for 2018-19, in the release.
