LAKEWOOD RANCH — The catering company of Lakewood Ranch's Polo Grill and Bar, Fête Catering, will cater the 2017 World Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota.

The catering company was one of four selected to feed athletes during the championships from Sept. 24 to Oct. 1. According to a press release, Fête Catering will feed nearly 300 athletes with breakfast, lunch and dinner at five area hotels beginning Sept. 13.

Jaymie and Tommy Klauber own Fête. Nearly three years ago, the World Rowing Federation, FISA awarded the company the contract for the competition.

“This is the biggest contract we've ever gotten,” says Jaymie Klauber in a statement. “We love to be in the center of everything going on in the community.”

Fête will serve the athletes 6,000 calories a day, doubling the amount of food they would normally put out for a single person.
