TAMPA — The owners of Tampa-based Burger 21 have announced plans to expand the franchise to South Florida.
Earlier this year, the restaurant concept signed four franchise deals for a total of six franchised units in Orlando, Atlanta and Voorhees, N.J. Burger 21 is now approaching South Florida, particularly Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Aventura, with the goal of 20 or more new locations, according to a release. Potential franchisees should have a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $200,000 per unit, the company says.
Burger 21 launched a growth initiative last year to bring the restaurant chain to more cities across the country. Burger 21 is part of Tampa-based restaurant management company Front Burner Brands, which is affiliated with the Melting Pot Restaurants Inc.
