SARASOTA — Homebuilders in the master-planned community of West Villages in Sarasota County sold 92 homes in October.
During the month, the community also marked a groundbreaking for the new Atlanta Braves Spring Training campus.
According to a press release, October is the fourth month in 2017 during which builders have sold more than 90 homes.
The Renaissance at West Villages by Mattamy Homes neighborhood opened in August. More than 50 homes have been sold in that neighborhood.
There are eight homebuilders and seven neighborhoods in West Villages. Gran Paradiso has been the top-selling community in West Villages all year, including in October.
West Villages is a 15,500-acre development adjacent to the Tamiami Trail corridor in Sarasota County. It's being developed by a partnership that includes Mattamy Homes and Vanguard Land.
