C. Roy Bridges has been elected by the board of directors at Brown & Brown, Inc. as regional president for the company's Western United States operations.
“Roy has served very effectively for nearly a decade as one of our Regional Executive Vice Presidents, and will provide leadership in our Western Retail area just as he has in our Florida and National Retail Divisions," said J. Powell Brown, chief executive officer for Brown & Brown, in a release accompanying the announcement.
Bridges has been with the company since 1987, when the agency for which he was working was acquired by the Tampa and Daytona Beach-based firm.
The move is the second significant executive appointment in as many weeks for Brown & Brown, having named Thomas E. Riley as chief acquisitions officer late last month.
