TAMPA — Brennan Investment Group is moving forward with plans to build industrial workspaces on two separate parcels of land in the Tampa Bay area. A 66-acre parcel in southwest Hillsborough County, combined with a 211-acre parcel in Plant City, could provide room for up to 4 million square feet of industrial space, the company says.
The Hillsborough parcel has rail service and is located one mile west of Interstate 75. The Plant City parcel is adjacent to Interstate 4 halfway between Tampa and Orlando.
"There has been a complete lack of industrial development over the last several years, and we anticipate an increased demand for quality industrial buildings over the next 24 months,” says Robert Krueger, managing principal at Brennan, in a prepared statement.
Brennan is a Chicago-based firm, but Krueger has substantial experience in the Tampa marketplace. Between 1997 and 2009, Krueger acquired and developed more than 5 million square feet of industrial space across the state of Florida, Brennan says. In 2006 and 2007, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties named him its Developer of the Year for Tampa Bay.
Brennan focuses its development efforts on six major markets across the United States: Chicago, Central Florida, northern New Jersey, southern California, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
