BRADENTON -- First Titan Corp. (symbol: FTTN) says it is “exploring new opportunities” related to the discovery of new natural gas reserves in Poland.

“Poland sits at the epicenter of a new natural gas gold rush in Europe,” says CEO Robert Federowicz in a release. “The resources there represent a tremendous opportunity for energy exploration and service companies, and FTTN will not be left behind.”

Federowicz was not specific about the actions First Titan is taking to prepare to enter the Polish energy market in a release, and could not be reached for comment prior to deadline. However, the former project manager at Hart Associates Inc. does have experience in the Polish energy market; in the 1990s he was involved with a modernization project that upgraded several Polish coal-fired power plants.

First Titan made Federowicz its new CEO in September, several days after he left his role as chief executive at Obscene Jeans Corp.
