PROPERTY: 16120 U.S. 19 N., Largo

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Carlton Fields PA, Miami

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The Blake Whitney Thompson Co. LLC in St. Petersburg purchased the 192,099-square-foot former Special Data Processing building for $2.8 million.

The price equated to $20 per square foot.

The two-story office building was vacant at the time of the sale. It was purchased as an investment, according to Blake Whitney Thompson managing director Blake Thompson.

The firm will lease the space for $8 a square foot triple net. “We are trying to be the lowest cost provider for office space in Tampa Bay,” Thompson says.

Thompson says the class-B building is in great condition, with fiber-optic networking infrastructure.

The building was purchased from an affiliate of Overland Park, Kan.-based Midland Loan Services Inc.

The purchase entity 16120 LLC mortgaged the property to Ephraim Asher of Tallahassee for $2 million.
