BRADENTON — Blake Medical Center, a full service hospital in Bradenton, will acquire Pinnacle Medical Group, also based in Bradenton, effective March 1. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will add more than 100 health care professionals to Blake's operations. Pinnacle's five existing clinical locations will continue to operate once the transaction is complete. The Business Review covered Pinnacle's business growth in its print edition in 2007.

The 383-bed Blake Medical Center has been operating since 1973. It acquired HealthCare America Medical Group roughly 18 months ago. Last September, Blake announced plans to build a new trauma center that will cost at least $2.5 million.
