NAPLES — Beasley Broadcast Group says it will pay a special dividend of 8.5 cents per share on Dec. 27.

Beasley will pay the one-time special dividend to shareholders of record as of Dec. 22. The company has two classes of common stock and the dividend will be paid to both.

“This is a one-time special dividend and we cannot guarantee any future dividends,” says a Beasley statement. “The declaration and payment of future dividends, if any, will be at the sole discretion of the board of directors based on its consideration of various factors, including the company's operating results, financial condition and anticipated capital requirement.”

Beasley operates 44 radio stations, including 28 on the FM band and 16 on the AM band. The company's stations are clustered in 11 mid-sized and large metro areas of the country.
