TAMPA — Resistacap Energy Products, a manufacturer of custom batteries, battery packs and battery chargers, plans to move its headquarters from Huntsville, Ala., to Hillsborough County.

The company, according to a press release, will hire 100 local employees for a range of positions, including assembly, soldering, welding and accounting. It also plans to invest up to $500,000 in the project for equipment and building renovations.

“We have chosen to relocate our corporate headquarters to Tampa because many of our targeted industries are well represented in the area, coupled with a friendly business environment that will support our continued growth,” Resistacap President Gary Bolohan states in the release. “We appreciate the support we’ve received from the Tampa Hillsborough EDC during this process, particularly with connecting us to resources to help fulfill our workforce needs.”

Resistacap’s new headquarters will be located at 12180 Race Track Road in Tampa. The company plans to expand the building by 10,000 square feet over the next year.
