AutoWay subsidiary buys Red Hoagland land


BUYER: First Team Ford of Manatee Ltd. (principals: James Bender and Ronald Eberhardt), Fort Lauderdale


SELLER: George Hoagland Sr. as trustee of the George M. Hoagland Third Restated Revocable Trust Agreement (50% interest) and Mary Jo Hoagland as trustee of the Mary Jo Hoagland Third Restated Revocable Trust Agreement (50%)


PROPERTY: 5325 14th St., Bradenton


PRICE: $6 million


LAW FIRM ON DEED: Angelo & Banta PA, Fort Lauderdale



PLANS, DESCRIPTION: A subsidiary of AutoNation Inc., First Team Ford of Manatee Ltd., purchased the Red Hoagland Pontiac GMC dealership on U.S. 41, south of State Road 70, for $6 million.


General Motors terminated its franchise with the dealership in early December as part of its restructuring. George “Red” Hoagland had continued to operate the dealership since then selling used cars and providing repairs and service.


Team Ford of Manatee Ltd. has been operating the former Bill Graham Ford dealership near U.S. 41 and Cortez Road as AutoWay Ford Bradenton since 1997.
