SARASOTA — Area attorney Charla Burchett was named a member of the Pines of Sarasota Foundation board of trustees.

Burchett is a partner in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen LLP. She is in the trusts and estates practice group.

“Over the years I have assisted many clients who have spent their final years at the Pines," says Burchett in a statement. "I have visited clients at the Pines and I've attended events there with the Boy Scout Troop and Girl Scout Troop of my kids. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to give back to the Pines after observing the loving interactions between the residents and the staff for over 25 years.”

Burchett started her term in January.

The Pines of Sarasota Foundation was founded in 1990 to support the capital, programmatic and endowment needs of Pines of Sarasota Rehabilitation and Senior Care Community. The nonprofit Pines of Sarasota offers inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, memory care and assisted living.
