Attorney named chair of economic development council

BONITA SPRINGS — Donald Thomson, managing attorney of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt's Bonita Springs' office, has been named chairman of the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council.

The EDC, a unit of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, promotes business and workforce retention, development and growth. The treasurer is Thomas Goettel, with Shaw Development, according to the council's website. Directors include Bill Duabmann with My Shower Door; Phil Dutcher with NCH Healthcare System; and Meighan Harris with the Bonita Springs-Estero Realtors.

Thomson concentrates his practice in residential and commercial real estate and is a certified circuit civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court, according to a statement. Henderson Franklin operates offices in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples and Sanibel Island.
