SARASOTA — Aso LLC, an adhesive bandage and wound care product manufacturer, will establish its subsidiary business Millenium Coating LLC in Sarasota, bringing 50 jobs to the area over the next five years.
Sarasota County government approved $125,000 in performance-based incentives to attract Aso to the area, according to a release from the Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County.
Charles Hart, a vice president with Aso, says the company will spend $7 million on its new facility, which will occupy 23,500 square feet of space. The new hires will be assigned to management positions, as well as several positions within the manufacturing operation.
Aso currently employs 250 workers in the Sarasota area, a release says. The company has been growing within the Sarasota area since 1991, and currently operates from a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
