NAPLES — Arthrex Inc., a medical device manufacturer based in Naples, won the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership's Innovention Award last week. Arthrex was recognized for its Surgical Outcome System, a web-based database that tracks the effectiveness of specific surgical techniques, products and treatment.
Led by company president Reinhold Schmieding, Arthrex expects to generate $1 billion in revenues in 2011. In February, the company announced that it had hired its 1,000th local employee.
In April, Arthrex revealed plans for the construction of a new 160,000-square-foot facility on Oil Well Road.
