SARASOTA — Atlas Building Co. named veteran area building industry executive Chuck Evans vice president of operations, part of a pair of leadership moves at the company.

Evans will oversee all construction-related operations at Atlas, according to a statement. He brings executive-level experience in commercial construction, having served for the past seven years as president of Sarasota-based DM Constructors. Prior to that, Evans worked for commercial construction firm Dooley Mack Constructors, holding multiple leadership positions, including vice president of operations.

Evans has managed projects from specialized renovations to construction of multimillion-dollar facilities in health care, assisted living, education, performing arts and retail. He has also supervised construction and renovation of historically significant buildings, the release adds.

In addition to the announcement on Evans, Charlie Woehle, who had been vice president of construction, is now vice president of preconstruction services at Atlas, the statement adds.

“We are experiencing rapid growth and needed to add experienced professionals to our management team,” Atlas President Andy Stultz says. “With his knowledge and excellent reputation in commercial construction in this region, Chuck Evans is a valuable addition. Bringing him in also allowed us to reorganize and allow Charlie Woehle to focus on our clients during the vital pre-construction phase.”
