FORT MYERS — Construction recently kicked off on a new 160-unit luxury apartment community in Fort Myers.
The Reef at Winkler, being built at the intersection of Winkler Avenue and Schoolhouse Road, will include two- and three-bedroom apartments in four separate four-story buildings, according to a news release.
The community, scheduled to open in 2020, will have a coastal contemporary design with a stone façade, concrete tile roofs and elevators that can be accessed from the exterior breezeways of each building, the release says. Each unit will have hurricane-resistant, tinted, low-E windows and high-end finishes.
The project is a result of a collaboration between iNDIGO Architecture, Inc. and M.J. Development Southeast, a development company created for the purpose of delivering turnkey commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial projects to real estate investment trusts and other investors.
“The key to The Reef at Winkler is comfortable, vibrant and open living spaces that afford the efficiency of resort-style living. From the outside in, it’s about convenience and the ability of design to conform to a wide variety of lifestyles,” Rick McCormack, president of iNDIGO Architecture, says in the release.
