CAPE CORAL — A pair of longtime architects who have designed several high-profile projects in the region have merged their companies.

The new company, Cape Coral-based Castellanos + Tramonte Architects, is a regional architectural firm specializing in commercial design, according to a statement. Art Castellanos, with more than 25 years of experience in architecture, is president, and Jason Tramonte, with a 37-year career in architecture, is the founder and project manager. The firm has five employees, the release adds.

Together, the team has designed more than 150 buildings statewide, including fire stations, shopping centers, government buildings, restaurants, 7-Elevens and more.

“Jason and I share the same passion for designing facilities that are creative, functional and meet the needs of our clients,” Castellanos said. “We believe that having extensive working relationships with local, city, county and state agencies is a large part of the success of our projects.”

Castellanos has worked in both public and private settings. He was the architect for the Lee County School District for 10 years and also worked for WCI Communities and McGarvey Development Co., prior to starting his own firm in 2014. Tramonte has been an owner or principal of a firm bearing his name since 1979, and started his own firm in Cape Coral in 1992.
