Justin Thibaut has joined Fort Myers-based brokerage firm Land Solutions as a sales associate focusing on business development.
If the last name is familiar, it's because it's the same as Land Solutions' broker and CEO Randy Thibaut.
The younger Thibaut, 28, decided to join his father's firm after roughly five years working for construction giant Bechtel Corp. and oil and gasoline producers British Petroleum and Chevron.
Thibaut, a 2011 graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in construction management, worked on a series of large construction projects in Africa and elsewhere, he says.
“I grew up around my father's land business, but I felt it was necessary to go out in the world and make my own way and learn a few things before returning to Fort Myers,” says Thibaut, who joined Land Solutions at the end of June.
Land Solutions is among the most active land brokers in Southwest Florida. In the past two months, the company has sold a pair of tracts valued in excess of $30 million apiece.
