CLEARWATER — St. Pete-Clearwater International continued to set records with its largest July in the history of the airport. In July 2018, PIE served the most passengers for any July with 234,079, a 14% increase over July 2017. Over the past five years, the airport doubled its July passengers over July 2014. July 2018 was also the second busiest month in the PIE history.

Year-to-date, PIE has served 1.4 million passengers and is on pace to shatter the 2017 record of just more than 2 million passengers for the year. Year-to-date, the airport has experienced 12% growth over the same time frame in 2017.

Parking at PIE remains limited with construction on roads around the airport parking lots as the Gateway Express Project continues. The airport’s terminal renovation project for gates 7-10 is also continuing.
