CLEARWATER — Beginning June 14, Allegiant Air will offer year-round, nonstop service from Nashville to the Tampa Bay area via St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE).

To help promote the new route, one-way fares from Nashville to St. Pete/Clearwater will be offered for as little as $49, according to a press release.

“Allegiant is excited to announce this new service from our newest city, giving Nashville-area travelers a convenient, nonstop option to visit the beautiful beaches of St. Pete and Clearwater,” states Allegiant Senior Vice President Lukas Johnson in the release. “We look forward to providing our new customers with great low fares and friendly service to Florida’s Gulf Coast.”

The new service will operate twice weekly from Nashville International Airport (BNA). With the addition of the Nashville route, 56 cities now have service to PIE.

According to the release, the new route is expected to bring nearly 18,000 additional visitors to the area.

“Nashville is one of the most requested destinations by our travelers,” states St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport Director Tom Jewsbury. “Now our customers can enjoy nonstop flights to the home of legendary country music venues.”
