PUNTA GORDA — Allegiant will begin seasonal flights to three new destinations and year-round service to one more from Punta Gorda Airport this fall.

New seasonal service between PGD and Eppley Airfield on Omaha, Neb., will start on Nov. 14, to and from Syracuse, N.Y., via Syracuse Hancock International Airport on Nov. 15, and between PGD and Appleton, Wisc., via Appleton International Airport on Nov. 16. New year-round service between PGD and Albany, N.Y., via Albany International Airport will start on Nov. 13.

“We are thrilled Allegiant is bringing Punta Gorda air service to four new cities in New York, Nebraska and Wisconsin,” says Charlotte County Airport Authority Commissioner Kathleen Coppola in a statement.  “Allegiant’s partnership continues to encourage tourism expenditures and grow our local economy through new community investments, jobs and improvements at PGD.”

The new seasonal routes will operate twice weekly and the year-round route will operate three times a week. These routes are expected to bring more than 56,000 new visitors to Southwest Florida.
