Tampa-based The Auto Club Group says it will create a new division devoted solely to racial equality.
TAMPA — The Auto Club Group, North America’s second-largest AAA club, plans to invest $1 million to create and develop programs aimed at improving social justice and equality in the communities that it serves.
In a press release, the Tampa-based organization, which boasts 14 million members in 14 U.S. states and Canada, says its investment will initially focus on the promotion of safety and security during traffic stops. It will also result in the creation of an entirely new division within The Auto Club Group that is dedicated to fostering racial equity and equality and supporting causes that address socioeconomic disparities.
“As an organization founded to promote safety and security, AAA believes everyone deserves the equal right to both,” states Joseph Richardson Jr., president and CEO of The Auto Club Group.
