Innovative Food Holdings, a publicly traded company that caters to professional and home chefs, named Gary Schubert CFO.
Schubert took over the CFO position for the Bonita Springs business Jan. 1. The company’s previous CFO, Richard Tang, will stay on with the company to help with the transition through the end of January, according to a statement.
Schubert spent 15 years at Walmart and was most recently senior director of finance and transformation strategy for the retail giant, according to the release. In that role, he was responsible for generating long-term sustainable growth for Walmart’s $75 billion ecommerce business. Prior to that post, Schubert was the financial lead for Walmart’s Neighborhood Market business, the No. 6 largest grocery chain in the U.S., with over $20 billion in annual sales across 700 locations. Before Walmart Schubert had roles in financial planning and analysis, corporate treasury and investor relations for chicken processing company Tyson.
