A San Francisco-based tech company that’s using artificial intelligence to, according to a news release, gather key insights from conversational data has landed $6 million in a Series A funding round led by Florida Funders, a Tampa-based venture capital firm.
Dashbot, the release states, also received investments from Bessemer Venture Partners and roster of returning and new investors. The capital injection increases the company’s total funding, to date, to $14 million, and it will be used to meet sales demand and continue product evolution and development.
According to the release, Dashbot’s platform helps companies gather and make use of what’s known as “dark data” — customer communication that occurs during phone calls, online chats, social media interactions and other channels.
