BRADENTON — Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction firm Halfacre Construction Co. was selected to build the newest location of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee.
According to a press release, Halfacre is working with the association and design team to finalize design and construction options for the $2.6 million project. Construction is expected to start in April. Fawley Bryant Architecture is the project architect.
The new 7,400-square-foot structure, at 302 Eighth St. W. in Bradenton, will include offices, meeting rooms and conference rooms. The building will also have an outdoor meeting area, the release adds.
"We are proud to be part of a growing business community in downtown Bradenton,” says Amy Worth, 2019 president of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee, in the statement. “This location strengthens our presence in Manatee County as we continue to fight for private property rights and the dream of home ownership.”
The location will become the second Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee member facility. It will serve members and the business community in Manatee County. In 2015, it built a Sarasota site at 2320 Cattlemen Road.
“The Riverwalk location will be very convenient for our membership," says Roger Piro, chair of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee Facilities Task Force, in the statement. "This has been a long time coming for our Anna Maria, Palmetto, Parrish and Bradenton members, and we look forward to future community events and educational opportunities that we will be able to offer.”
The Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee is the largest real estate trade association in Sarasota and Manatee counties, serving over 6,500 members.
