A Tampa-based IT firm has named a new CEO as its founder steps away from the day-to-day operations of the company.
Atlas Professional Services says local tech executive Tony Martinez is taking the top job, replacing Greg Zolkos, who founded the company in 2006.
According to a news release announcing the change, Zolkos has moved to Lyra Technology Group, a Chicago-based group of technology service businesses that operates independently which Atlas is a part of.
Martinez, 39, comes to Atlas after a stint as chief growth officer at the risk management software company SecurityStudio. According to his LinkedIn profile, he worked there from March 2022 until this month when he started working at Atlas.
Before SecurityStudio, he held leadership positions at MGT Consulting Group, CyberSequr and ISC2, the release says.
A native of Spain, he got a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. According to the statement, he also sits on the board of Goodwill-Suncoast and was on the City of Tampa's Hispanic Advisory Council under former Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn.
Atlas specializes in managed IT services, co-managed IT services and managed cybersecurity services. It has 45 employees and more than 170 clients across all industries, according to the release.
